Simone De Sena, cello

Simone De Sena was born in Rome in 1990.
He played as principal cellist with the following orchestras: ISA-Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese, Orchestra L.Cherubini di Riccardo Muti and OGI-Orchestra Giovanile Italiana.
Performed also with: Orquestra Filarmonica de Jalisco (Mexico), Orchestra LaVerdi di Milano, I Solisti Aquilani, Orchestra del Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari, FORM-Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, Shangai Oriental Simphony Orchestra, Dusseldorf Festival Orchestra, conducted by R.Muti, K.Nagano, D.Renzetti, K.Penderecki,etc.
As a chamber music player he played as in a duo with piano at the International Chamber Music Festival di Volos (Greece), Festival Concertiamo Beethoven di Fiesole and Bethlehem Music Festival (Palestine).
In other chamber music ensembles he has performed in festivals such as Ravenna Festival, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, IUC di Roma and GOG di Genova.
He has played solo recitals for institutions as Agimus di Firenze, Nativity Curch of Bethlehem and Peace Center of Jerusalem.
Simone De Sena studied cello under the guidance of L.Magariello, G.Geminiani, F.Guye, M.Scano, R.Latzko, W.Vestidello, A.Nannoni, C.Giger, G.Gnocchi and U.Hofmann.
Concerning chamber music, he attended classes at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, by taking lessons with A.Lucchesini, Trio di Parma, P.Vernikov, B.Canino, N.Gutman, G.Carmignola e A.Farulli.
He was appointed as Professor in the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Jerusalem at the age of 24.
He performed concerts all over the world as a soloist, as a chamber music player and orchestral cellist, in Israel, Palestine, Kenya, China, South Korea, Bahrein ,Spain, Germany, Switzerland, France, Austrian, Greece, Mexico,Hungary,Latvia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Finland, Egypt, Holland, Luxemburg.
Aside from music, his true passion is football and he supports S.S. Lazio Team with great enthusiasm. Unfortunately, he will never become a professional football player himself.
