Margherita Di Giovanni, viola
Margherita di Giovanni graduated in violin with full marks at “G. Rossini” Conservatory of Pesaro under the guidance of Maestro Mario Ferraris.
She achieved the Second Level Academic Degree at “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Milan, executive direction, in Daniele Gay class with full marks. She attended Masterclass with P. Vernikov, M. Quarta, K. Sahatci, R. Honeck and Advanced Course of High Specialization in violin at Accademia Musicale Pescarese, held by E. Pellegrino and I. Grubert. In 2010 she started studying the viola under the guidance of Maestro Simone Gramaglia. Immediately recognised for her violist qualities she has collaborated with several chamber ensembles.
She attended a Masterclass with Larry Dutton, Robert McDuffie and Aida Carmen Soanea and in 2012 she was selected to take part in the Rome Chamber Music Festival concerts. In 2017 she achieved the Second Level Academic Degree in Viola with summa cum laude al “A.Casella” Conservatory of L’Aquila.
Founder and member of Quartetto Guadagnini until 2015, she attended the String Quartet Advanced Course held by Quartetto di Cremona, at the Accademia Walter Stauffer in Cremona and she had the opportunity to follow the courses held by Hatto Beyerle, at the ECMA (European Chamber Music Accademy). While playing with Quartetto Guadagnini she won the Farulli Prize of XXXIII Franco AbbiaG Prize and she has performed in major festivals and concert seasons in Italy and abroad: Stradivari Festival, Unione Musicale di Torino, Amici della Musica di Palermo, Amici della Musica di Padova, Bologna Festival, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna, Teatro La Fenice, Le Sion Festival.
With Quartetto di Cremona she performed in quintet and sextet at Festival MiTo, Filarmonica di Trento and Pordenone’s Teatro Verdi. As a violinist she has collaborated with and is currently working with the Solisti Aquilani.
